About the Art

The artist JB's mini long-haired Dachshund is the inspiration for this design "Home Yet?", having taken this pose one day while waiting for a family member to enter the room.

The design itself is taken from the perspective of behind the dog as she pulls herself up to look.  It was important to the artist to capture the radiant light reflections on the glossy coat. The piece also alludes to the natural playfulness and determined curiosity of the dog in its posture, without the viewer seeing the dog's expression.

Note: This design has some small brushstrokes present outside the main image. These are intentional and part of the art.
